Italy-Chad Healthcare Project: Training and Technological Innovation

Rome, 30 January 2023 – Training and technological innovation are the two cornerstones of the new cooperation project that the University of Rome Tor Vergata, in partnership with other Italian and international entities, has developed with the aim of improving the health of inhabitants of Chad, a country in central Africa with a very fragile economic, social and health situation. Through specialized medical training and the creation of new hospital services based on modern technologies – where General Surgery, Cardiology and Gastroenterology are the three branches most involved – the project aims to make the National Health Service of Chad more efficient, modern and attentive to age groups weak of the population.

The European Group of Biotechnology Science Park Tor Vergata (EUROBIOPARK) is a means to interface between different individual figures who bring their Professional and Scientific contributions to biotechnology applied to Biomedical areas, Bioinformatics, Agro-food and Environmental aspects within their personal capacity or as a members of the organization.

With the aim to broaden the University research and higher education in industrial development within the Municipality of Rome, The University of Tor Vergata in Rome was identified as the main site for the development of specific settlements and an “incubator” for start-ups and young companies with a high content of innovative research.
